Aromatherapist, Edel Reyes takes us through some of the popular essential oils and their common uses. She does caution, however, that essential oils are potent and should never be used unless they have been diluted first, either in water or with a plain carrier oil for massage.

Neroli - relives stress regulates heart rhythms and reduces problems with insomia.

Camomile - improves mood when one feels impatient and irritable, and also helps to relieve indigestions.

Rose - relieves fatigue, aches and skin problems.

Lavender - provides releif for head and muscle aches, reduces heart palpitations, treats pimples, acne and dandruff.

Ylang-ylang - lowers and regulates blood pressure, reduces stress and anxiety and is popular for its aphrodisiac qualities.

Rosemary - relieves mental fatigue, lowers cholesterol levelm tones sagging skin.

Eucalyptus - its ani-viral qualities are good for respiratory problems, cuts, wounds, and burns.

Geranium - drives out anxiety, stress, depression. It also cleans and tones the ski, relieves acne and dry eczema.

Bergamot - helps you cope with emotional stress, stimulates appetite and improves digestion.

Juniper Berry - helps remove body’s toxic waste, relieves muscle aches and rheumatism.
